Invisalign Boosts Confidence

The reality behind traditional braces is that many people don’t find them attractive. With clear aligners, it’s almost impossible to tell that people are wearing them. Patients can look forward to having a straighter smile without wires and without brackets irritating your lips and cheeks. A beautiful smile immediately provides a boost in confidence. Because a person’s smile is one of the first things that people notice, it makes sense that people have the desire to perfect their smile.

Eating Will Be More Enjoyable With Invisalign

Traditional braces make it harder to eat specific foods. For example, wearing metal braces prevents us from enjoying harder foods such as tree nuts which can brake brackets or sticky foods like all of those candies we secretly enjoy! The beauty of clear aligners is that you can remove them when it’s time to enjoy your favorite foods and you don’t have to stress that leftover food will get all over your aligners. Nor do you have stress over the pain that metal wires can bring. Invisalign is minimally invasive, and you can live life as usual.

What is the Process of Invisalign or Clear Aligner Therapy?

On average, it takes roughly 24 months to achieve the desired results for traditional braces. Invisalign, on the other hand, takes an average of 9-15 months to achieve the desired results. Although, it does vary by case.

The process of starting Invisalign is straight forward!

  1. Once a patient has decided to achieve their new smile, our doctors will take an intraoral scan with our scanner to accurately capture the current position of your teeth.
  2. The scan is then digitally sent to our lab which, with our guidance, simulates the movement of your teeth into their new ideal position. Once this is approved by you and your dentist, the treatment is finalized and the aligners are made.
  3. In 2-3 weeks, you will return to our office to have small tooth-colored attachment placed on select teeth and the first set of aligners delivered! Each aligner must be worn for roughly 20-22 hours a day, only removed for eating and drinking! The more you wear them, the more they work!!
  4. Every 7-10 days, you’ll need to wear a new set of aligners. Every six weeks, you’ll need to come in so that Dr. Mitchell or Joshua Lomke can check your progress and provide you a new series of aligners.

Say Goodbye to Goopy Impressions!

What makes Invisalign so beneficial is that Dr. Mitchell and Joshua Lomke use 3D imaging computer technology to make their aligners. We can map your mouth prior to treatment. This technique proves to be more comfortable for patients as well as faster and more accurate.
